Kim Westergåård, CA Technologies – Scaling Agile | What comes first: People, Process or Tools

Many organisations are going through large scale agile change initiatives to deliver better business outcomes such as reduced time to market, higher quality and improved customer satisfaction. Successful transformations appreciate that the change must be delivered across three different elements – people, process and technology. The question is, are some of these elements more important than others for creating an agile organization? How do we successfully prioritise our limited resources and where do we begin?

– Kim Westergåård, Principal Agile Consultant, shares his own experiences on how companies are cutting that cake. –

Rolf Läderach, CGI – SAFe and Kanban | Practices for an Agile Release Train with Kanban teams only

What to do when your teams are not able to commit to plans even a few weeks ahead? This can happen if they do work for a system that is very complex, requires stabilization or the teams do maintenance work and have to react quickly to solve production issues. In such cases too extensive planning might cause an extensive amount of waste and it might be reasonable to apply Kanban instead of Scrum or ScrumXP.

– Rolf Läderach works as an RTE and SAFe / Agile coach and he shares his experiences working in an ART, where all the teams currently apply Kanban. –
